How to perform mod installation – World_of_Tanks?
Hello Tankers.
In this post we will explain as clear as we can how to perform the mod installation – World_of_Tanks. we are not talking about modpacks which have their own installer but single about mods.
Some of you will find this article boring as you already know how and where. But as we all know Rome wasn’t build in a day. Some of us might not know where to upload files or into which folder.
Mods are made by various people, developers. We are grateful for that but each one of them might prepare his/her mod in different way.
World of Tanks game has 2 separate folders for mods: mods and res_mods
mods is a newer folder implemented by Wargaming and res_mods is the older one, but both still works and this might be the biggest confusion for everyone.
Also what we need to know is that inside each one of above there is additional folder or folders relevant to the current game version. Look below at the example:
in green are marked 2 additional folders in res_mods location. Those folders are in use for some of modifications, although if you will have to upload anything there it is already prepared in the mod archive containing all files
And now the main and most important thing. When to upload files into mods or res_mods folder. The explanation is easy, if archive (compressed file) which you download contains:
- mods folder it means it will go into mods directory in your game folder.
- res_mods folder it will go into res_mods
- or only folders named: gui, scripts or system than it goes into res_mods/x.x.xx.x ( where x.x.xx.x stands for folder of latest game version like on above photos)

A question to the mod Black gun sight.
I will install the mod but i never become the red cross in the middle of the sight. What i must do that it works?
As far as we understand photos and mod itself you get that red cross in sniper zoom.

Ist Not Wirkung in the sniper Mode. I have no Red cross
Where do the fonts come from?
Dofferent creators use own fonts. If they do they are inside archive. If they are not inside pack it means mod use typical fornts from default windows system
what is activation key?
Only for some mods where creator releases free version and extended one for which he charge you might need it but that is totally up to creator of the mod. Not us.

When i open my game folder(where the game versions are) and i open the latest folder i dont see any other folders inside it i only see a readme.txt file and in it it just says this:(This folder is used for World of Tanks modifiers (mods). so i dont know where to put the file
Just create folder relevant to game version in format seen on video clip.
Hello, i have a problem. I installed the modpack, all things are working except one in game, where it should show the pannel with numbers and how much i need to get X % mark there are only squares instead of numbers, they are changing their colours. But still only squares so i cant see nothing.
Not sure but it might have to do something with Fonts. Check if there is no fornt also required for this mod in mod folder.

Yeah I downloaded the zip file and it has two folders: Protanki and Spotter along with some other things, both Protanki and Spotter contain a ‘mods’ folders but the contents of those folders differ. So do I drag them both to the ingame ‘mods’ folder or no?
